Animal Friends are looking for an experienced, talented In-House Solicitor, to join our in-house legal team supporting Animal Friends and the wider Pinnacle Pet Group. Your work will span all areas of law, across a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters—from drafting and negotiating complex contracts to advising on new projects, policy wordings, financial services regulation, and dispute resolution. No two days look the same. You’ll join our collaborative team where your voice is heard, your expertise is valued, and your work touches every part of the business. What We Look For In Our In-House Solicitor
- A qualified, experienced solicitor with a solid grounding in commercial work—ideally gained in-house or through a strong private practice background.
- Proven experience ideally in general insurance, or another regulated financial services environment, bringing industry insight to complex legal challenges.
- Exceptional commercial contracts expertise, with the ability to draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of high‑value and business‑critical agreements.
- To be commercially sharp, solutions‑focused, able to give clear, practical advice to stakeholders at every level.
- A collaborative, adaptable team player who thrives in a dynamic environment, champions good customer outcomes, and contributes positively across businesses and projects.
As Our In-House Solicitor, You Will
- Draft, review, amend and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts, policy wordings, and bespoke project documentation.
- Provide clear, practical commercial and regulatory legal advice within an insurance context, including support for strategic initiatives.
- Monitor and interpret relevant legislation, regulatory changes, consultations and guidance, advising the business on required actions.
- Work closely with Compliance to support financial services regulatory obligations and ensure good customer outcomes.
- Manage routine legal enquiries and instruct, supervise and liaise with external solicitors and counsel where needed.
- Support the handling, management and resolution of legal claims and disputes involving the company.
- Communicate complex legal and technical issues clearly and effectively to internal stakeholders.
