Our Team
The Commercial Management team within Channel Sales is responsible for planning, reporting and analysis of all commercial activity globally. Operating across the hardware, peripherals, software, PC and voucher businesses.
Voucher has seen significant growth in recent years to become a key revenue contributor and continues to evolve with the industry to create new business opportunities. The team is responsible for driving revenue to PlayStation Store and Services from the indirect channel, which covers areas such as retail and B2B. This is achieved through combining custom trade marketing solutions, local territory expertise, sales and customer data analysis, competitor reviews and collaboration with multiple internal teams, publishers and integrator partners.
Role Overview:
Reporting to the Director, Global Insight as Insight & Reporting Analyst, you will play a critical role in generating, consolidating, and presenting Global insight and performance reporting, focused on voucher and software business. This role is accountable for voucher reporting, assessing performance across critical initiatives and experiments, generating and sharing insight across the end-to-end voucher funnel from dispatch to sale to redemption, down to a retailer and store level.
What we’re looking for:
Lead critical metric and performance reporting across the voucher business
- Own the current KPI and Domo performance reporting processes, developing elegant, automated solutions, and contributing from the new VSTAR asset to further evolve our understanding and ability to extract insight. Close collaboration across D2C, Channel Sales, Services and regional Sales Development teams to bring together weekly and monthly commentary, explaining variances vs. target.
Reporting and generation of insight for central initiatives and projects, leading voucher experimentation test & learn
- Carry out incrementality and ROI analysis across a variety of retail activations, placements and campaigns, shaping future voucher strategy at retail. Leveraging assets such as promo UPC and VSTAR to develop and standardise tools and analysis for experimentation analysis.
Represent voucher business within regular forums
- Presenting insight and performance updates across Commercial and cross-functional forums. Offering opinion and findings from a variety of initiatives and campaigns.
Support across wider console and PC software vertical
- Partner with wider teams on insight and analysis around PC and console software, contributing to monthly performance updates and weekly commentary, by consolidating PC, 1P software, software market and voucher. Working closely with Reporting Analysts in D2C and Channel Sales to drive consistency of metrics, definitions, branding and look-and-feel across the reporting suite.
What we’re looking for:
- A highly technical and skilled analyst, demonstrating a proactive, explorer mentality in driving value from data
- A creative problem solver with commercial competence, not afraid to challenge existing process and thinking backed up by data and insight
- Relevant experience as an analyst, data analyst, or other related occupation
- Excitement and interest in video games and the Gaming industry an advantage
- Relationship builder, who can communicate at different levels of the organisation effectively
- An ability to manage and balance multiple tasks and projects with a keen eye for detail
- Flexible approach to working hours to support global sales and business operations
- BSc/BA (or equivalent) experience in Business/ Economics, Science or Mathematics preferred
- Experience with the following analytical and visualisation tools would be an advantage: MicroStrategy, Domo, Tableau, Power BI, Power Query
