Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Manager – Maritime & Naval Systems

Salary up to £65,000 depending on experience. This is a UK-based role with hybrid working and client-site engagements.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced systems engineering professional with a background in maritime or naval systems to join our forward-thinking and values-driven organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of ILS work packages on high-impact defence and marine engineering programmes, ensuring we meet MOD standards and taking ownership of supportability analysis activities (FMECA, LORA, LCC, task analysis, and maintenance planning).
  • Develop Supportability Cases and Integrated Product Support strategies; act as a key interface between project teams, MOD clients, and prime contractors to ensure deliverables meet operational needs and comply with relevant defence and international standards (e.g., DEF STAN 00-600, JSPs, STANAG 4427).
  • Gather technical data for alignment with user needs and system requirements; provide technical consultancy and mentorship to junior engineers; contribute to internal capability development and knowledge sharing.
  • Conduct obsolescence risk assessments and support engineering change impact analysis.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Significant experience in ILS, Supportability Engineering, or related systems engineering roles.
  • Background in maritime platforms, weapons systems, or complex marine engineering (defence or commercial).
  • Demonstrable experience producing structured logistics deliverables and reports in accordance with industry standards.
  • Strong knowledge of ILS methodologies and UK MOD engineering/support frameworks.
