Responsibilities
- Evidence of strong process, technical and team leadership skills, with a passion for delivering leading edge designs and inspiring a culture of technical excellence and innovative solution design.
- Experience of navigating the complex landscapes of technologies, 3rd party suppliers (driving the procurement process), internal and cross-government (or similarly complex) teams.
- Management & delivery of complex service integration solutions within time, cost and quality targets, ensuring solutions are robust, resilient, and appropriately implemented, tested and documented.
- Work in digital technologies and approaches including cloud (SaaS/PaaS/IaaS/cloud native), common front and back end technologies, software defined infrastructure, continuous delivery and DevOps. AWS cloud experience preferable.
- Design hybrid Integration solution and migration path for on-prem / cloud services.
- Experience of owning and contributing to the technical roadmap and strategy.
- Experience in anticipating and advising on future technology changes that present opportunities for the application or service.
- Ability to communicate clearly in a language which meets the needs of different users/stakeholders through selecting the appropriate channels & formats and managing expectations whilst adapting to stakeholder\'s reactions with flexibility.
- Identifying process improvements and defining best practice, inspiring teams to follow it.
- Understanding of Lean, Agile and DevOps principles
- Mentor team of varied experience levels
- Certification – preferably in TOGAF, Oracle, AWS Solution Architect Associate/Professional or similar
Essential Skills
- Expereince in varied Architecture Landscape touch points of both On-Prem & Cloud, Hybrid, varied Programming Languages, Infrastructure(DR), Security, CI/CD, Scalability , Resilience and Performance
- Exposure to Relational/Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL Developer, Toad, DW, NoSQL Database concepts
- Experience in integration gap analysis, performance analysis and proposing solutions based on varied product evaluations
- Expertise in Integration technologies and platforms such as Mulesoft, files(using FTP, SFTP, MoveIT), MQ, CDC, Message Bus, Hub & Spoke, Pub/Sub
- Ability to evaluate current system, run POC and suggest to Business & Tech stakeholders of products fit for purpose addressing the performance & other bottlenecks in BAU system
- Exposure to Security standards for Data in Transit & Rest such as TLS / SSL, Data Encryption
- Knowledge on UK GDPR, PII, PCI-DSS data standards
- Implementation of designs related to Batch processing patterns involving Talend, Quartz or similar.
- Experience of running projects in the capacity as Integration Architect in GDPR related projects involving Data Sourcing, Validations, Integration, Data Disposition, Auditing & Reporting
- Ability to treat Data as an Asset, Architect & provide Solutions aligned to it
- Working knowledge in Java 8+ with Clean Architecture, Mockito, Java Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Apache Camel
- Extensive experience working in Java, microservice architecture, containerisation, enterprise integration patterns, data storage in a highly available, distributed products.
- Cloud native delivery skills following open standards in – Containers As a Service/PaaS/IaaS, AWS CDK, Fargate, Secrets manager, Lambda, ECS, EKS, S3, MongoDB Atlassian, Serverless Functions and data insight solutions.
- Experience in designing systems for integration and re-use, using frameworks/standards, technologies, and design patterns such as API Gateways, REST, Message Brokers and token-based security.
- Exposure to Auth & Auth principles & tools such as SAML, OpenID, OAuth, JWT, OKTA, AWS Cognito, Hashicorp Vault
- A demonstrable record of designing solutions to key non-functional requirements including cyber/security policies, resilience, logging, errors and scalability abiding SLA
- Experience in creating & guiding in Architecture Artefacts such as Integration Strategy, High Level Design, LLD, Estimation, Product Evaluation Matrix, Gap Analysis, Performance Matrix
