Overview

Integration Developer - Azure-Salesforce - Student records role at InterQuest Group. Enterprise-scale programmes experience, ideally in Higher Education, is needed to support a Salesforce Education Cloud for a higher education client. The role focuses on building and supporting integrations between new and existing systems using Microsoft Azure PaaS components to develop modular, reusable, and secure integration components aligned with canonical data models and modern API-first principles.

Responsibilities

• Build and support integrations between new and existing systems using Microsoft Azure PaaS components to develop modular, reusable, and secure integration components aligned with canonical data models and modern API-first principles.

Essential Experience

• Proven experience as an Integration Developer on enterprise-scale programmes, preferably in Higher Education.
• Experience with Azure PaaS integration tools: Logic Apps, Functions, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid.
• Experience building and managing REST APIs and implementing API-first integration designs.
• Experience integrating cloud systems (Salesforce, Canvas LMS, or other SaaS platforms).
• Experience with SITS or other legacy student systems, particularly around data integration and synchronisation.
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Infrastructure-as-Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform).
• Proficient in C#, PowerShell, JavaScript, or equivalent languages used in Azure development.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar tooling for backlog, code, and release management.
• Experience working in Agile delivery teams with story-based development and incremental delivery.

Desirable Experience

• Knowledge of student lifecycle processes in Higher Education and relevant data domains.
• Knowledge of event-driven and message-based architectures (Event Hub, Kafka, or Service Bus).
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
• Awareness of data security, GDPR, and compliance in educational or public sector environments.
• Exposure to OpenAPI/Swagger, API lifecycle management, and version control best practices.
• Previous experience working with third-party suppliers in multi-vendor delivery environments.

Contract and Location

12-month contract to start ASAP – Hybrid working, 2 days on site per week in London. £450.00 per day outside of IR35.
