Interim Category Buyer

£500 per day inside IR35

West Midlands

Are you an experienced Food Buyer with a knack for sourcing high-quality commodity ingredients? This is your chance to join a leading Food Manufacturing Company based in the West Midlands. This interim or fixed-term contract role offers a balanced work environment with four days in the office and one day remote, providing the perfect blend of collaboration and flexibility.

As a Category Buyer, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of commodity ingredients, ensuring the highest standards of quality and cost-efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for commodity ingredients.
Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships to secure the best terms.

Maintain accurate records and reports to track procurement activities and performance.

Skills and Experience Required:

Proven experience in food buying, specifically within the food manufacturing sector.

Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external suppliers.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
