Interim People Advisor

Are you an experienced HR professional ready to hit the ground running in a busy, people-focused environment?

This interim People Advisor opportunity offers the chance to make a real impact while supporting a period of positive change within a well-known organisation in the not for profit sector.

The Role

As People Advisor, you'll provide expert advice and guidance to managers and colleagues across a broad range of HR matters. You'll manage cases and queries confidently, ensuring a fair and consistent approach while maintaining high service standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing advice on employment law, terms and conditions, and policies
• Supporting job evaluation and benchmarking processes
• Assisting with the initial stages of recruitment and temporary staffing
• Managing sickness absence, performance improvement, disciplinary, and grievance cases up to the formal stage
• Providing administrative and advisory support for restructures, change programmes, and TUPE transfers

This role sits within a team currently reviewing and refining its HR operating model meaning you'll play a key role in shaping how the function best supports its people and leaders moving forward.

About You

We're looking for a pragmatic and confident HR professional who can build trust quickly and work effectively in a hybrid, fast-paced setting.

You’ll need to demonstrate:

• Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
• Proven experience in employee relations casework
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and support managers
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach
• Ideally CIPD qualified or equivalent experience

• Day rate assignment Inside IR35 (3 months initially)
