Interim Legal Counsel - Infrastructure

Managing Director at Major, Lindsey & Africa - Interim Legal Secondees and Fractional Counsel, EMEA

Major, Lindsey & Africa are working with a Renewable Energy company with an upcoming maternity leave in their team. They require interim support for 6-12 months, starting in mid-December, to cover the absence. They require someone with an Infrastructure background, with a particular focus on Project Development matters, and the role will cover project development contracts, providing advice to the wider business and liaising with regulators, amongst other things. This position is well-suited to someone at the more senior level (8PQE+) with a background in Infrastructure and Project Development work.

You would be part of a tightly-knit legal team, spread across Europe. They are looking for someone who is able to take on a broad diet of work and work with a good level of autonomy. You'd be reporting to the GC. They are happy for someone to be based in their London or Glasgow office, although there is a lot of flexibility around hybrid working with their ideal being 1-2 days per week in the office.

Requirements

  • 8PQE+;
  • Experience in Infrastructure and Project Development, ideally with time spent in both private practice and in‑house roles;
  • Available to start in mid‑December;
  • Based in the UK and able to commute to an office in either London or Glasgow 1‑2 times per week for the duration of the contract.
