Robertson Bell are supporting a world-renowned organisation based in Cambridge to recruit an interim Payroll Supervisor on a 12-month contract.
Our client is of a significant size and therefore, this role sits within a busy and fast-paced payroll environment that deals with high volumes – although this work is disbursed across a large team.
The Payroll Supervisor will be responsible for:
- Leading a small team of two Payroll Officer’s to run end to end payroll for employees (000’s) on a monthly basis, and far smaller number weekly and fortnightly.
- Carry out gross-to-net payment calculations on overpayments and claims.
- Oversee data imports, payroll account reconciliations and prepare management reports.
- Act as a point of contact for internal departments, resolving queries and improving processes.
You will need:
- Strong experience delivering end-to-end payroll in a high-volume environment
- To be able to carry out gross-to-net payment calculations
- Some staff management or supervisory experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
This is a hybrid role, two days per week in the office, and our client offers onsite parking as well as convenient public transport links.
In addition to the salary on offer, the benefits package is incredibly generous with just over 40 days annual leave (including bank holidays) and a pension contribution of over 14%.
This is an urgent requirement, with an aim of having someone in the first half of September at the latest so, you will need to be available to start a new role in this time frame.
