Interim Senior Finance Business Partner

A fast-growing retail business based in Wakefield is seeking an experienced Interim Senior Finance Business Partner to support them through a period of significant expansion and change.

This role will suit a hands-on finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has experience improving processes, delivering insight, and supporting senior leadership with commercial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review the carriage in and out process end-to-end in collaboration with the Distribution team, identifying efficiencies and cost improvements.
  • Lead on strategic planning and KPI reporting, providing clear and insightful management information to senior stakeholders.
  • Improve existing reports and templates to enhance accuracy and efficiency ahead of future system upgrades.
  • Take ownership of month-end slide production, developing templates and management packs for leadership reporting.
  • Support the merchandising and commercial teams during the budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of a retail performance dashboard to improve data visibility.
  • Provide financial and analytical support for ad hoc and project-specific initiatives across the business.

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
  • Experience within retail, FMCG, or other fast-moving environments.
  • Strong commercial finance and business partnering experience.Skilled in management reporting, KPI development, and process improvement.
  • Excellent Excel skills and familiarity with Power BI or similar reporting tools.
  • Confident communicator, able to build relationships across finance and operations.
