Location and duration

Location: Watford - Hybrid

Duration: 6 month FTC

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end and period-end processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting in line with IFRS
  • Oversee the review and reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts, maintaining SOX compliance
  • Ensure robust accounting for tangible and intangible assets, including impairment reviews
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align financial reporting with legal, tax, and compliance requirements
  • Support statutory and group reporting, including preparation of IFRS-compliant financial statements
  • Play a key role in external audits, working closely with auditors and internal teams
  • Maintain and review accounting policies to ensure compliance with evolving standards
  • Contribute to the implementation of SOX controls across the Accounting and Reporting function
  • Coach and mentor junior team members to support skills development and knowledge sharing

About You

  • We’re seeking someone with a strong technical background, an eye for detail, and a proactive mindset who thrives in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • ACA, ACCA (or equivalent) qualification with minimum 2 years PQE, including at least 1 year in industry
  • Solid experience in statutory reporting, month-end close, and balance sheet control
  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS and an ability to interpret new accounting standards
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement and financial systems (ideally SAP)
  • Proven ability to analyse and present complex financial data clearly
  • Confidence in managing external audits and liaising with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with the wider Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience in asset accounting and impairment assessments
