The role is based in Sheffield and they operate a flexible and hybrid model - 3 days on-site in Sheffield, with flex.
Job Description
In this role, you'll be a trusted partner to managers, advising on a full range of people matters. You'll work across a broad HR portfolio, providing policy guidance, coaching on employee relations, supporting change programmes, and driving performance and development initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising and coaching line managers on HR policies and procedures
- Managing employee relations cases up to but not including those with employment tribunal risk
- Supporting organisational change projects, including role profiling and consultation
- Supporting performance management and development planning
- Contributing to policy development in line with legislation and best practice
- Working with the HR team on pay review data and analysis
- Promoting continuous improvement and best practice across HR services
The Successful Applicant
We're looking for someone who:
- Is CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent)
- Has strong experience managing ER cases (disciplinary, grievance, capability, sickness)
- Can confidently coach and guide managers on HR matters
- Understands employment legislation and can apply it effectively
- Is an excellent communicator, influencer, and relationship builder
- Can work at pace and juggle multiple priorities
You must be immediately available or available to start on short notice. Experience in unionised environments or using applicant tracking systems is a bonus.
