Overview

Recruitment Advisor at TLT LLP | Contract & Temporary Resourcing. This opportunity is for a Contract Senior HR Business Partner to join the HR Business Partnering Team on a 6-12 month contract. The role is hybrid with two days a week in one of our offices in Bristol, Birmingham or Manchester and pay is via Umbrella Company.

Responsibilities

  • Gaining a deep knowledge and understanding of an aligned Group, proactively identifying internal/external influences, risks and opportunities, and anticipating the needs of key stakeholders to provide expert HR advice and commercial solutions.
  • Building strong relationships with Partners and other managers, influencing and coaching senior stakeholders to drive high performance, and designing and implementing key strategic initiatives in Talent, Performance Management, Diversity and Inclusion, Wellbeing and CSR.
  • Collaborating with managers to own the development and implementation of the Group People Plan to support achievement of Group business plans.
  • Designing and implementing change and transformation programmes across the aligned Group, including organisation restructures and TUPE, and supporting HR BPs with similar activity.
  • Supporting managers with case management for complex employee relations issues, including preparation for any employment tribunal claims.
  • Spotting trends and examples of poor practice or procedure, coaching management to improve in partnership with the HR Advisor.
  • Acting as the main point of contact between centres of excellence and the Firm to ensure initiatives meet needs and are implemented successfully.
  • Working with senior stakeholders to anticipate resourcing needs and liaise with Recruitment to deliver resource plans, designing interventions as necessary.
  • Contributing to Future Talent processes such as Graduate and Apprenticeship assessment centres.
  • Collaborating with Organisation Development to identify current and future skills gaps and design relevant interventions.
  • Working with Reward to maintain a consistent approach to reward across the Firm.
  • Leading and contributing expertise to key projects and providing direction on strategy and operational plans to junior colleagues.
  • Analyzing trends in management information to design appropriate interventions and initiatives.
  • Staying up-to-date on employment law to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Leading on annual processes to ensure fairness and consistency across the Firm, including Salary Review, Promotions and Performance Grading.

Skills and Experience

  • An experienced HRBP with a track record of operating at a senior level within a HR team.
  • Experience partnering with senior managers, coaching, influencing, and driving high performance.
  • Change management experience including organisational restructures and TUPE, project management, and strong organisational skills.
  • Strong business/commercial acumen with excellent knowledge of employment law.
  • Experience in employee relations with capability to manage complex cases.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex ideas.
  • Problem-solving capability with strong analytical skills.
  • Good IT skills with Excel, Microsoft Word and other Office packages.
  • Strong HR knowledge; CIPD qualified or equivalent experience.
  • Willingness to share knowledge and mentor colleagues, and to travel to different UK locations to support offices across Great Britain.

The HR team includes HR Business Partners, Reward, Recruitment and Organisational Development, with specialists in Learning and Development, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Wellbeing and Sustainability. The HR Business Partner team comprises Senior HR Business Partners, HR Business Partners, HR Advisors and an HR Operations team.
