New Today

Overview

AXA Global Healthcare is seeking an Intermediary Governance Lead to establish and maintain a robust governance and control framework across our distribution channels. You'll ensure compliance with regulatory, internal, and partner requirements while driving consistency, transparency, and accountability across all sales and intermediary distribution activities. The role will own the Quality Assurance team, oversee audit actions, oversee fair value and distribution practices, and implement broker governance controls to strengthen governance of the intermediary ecosystem. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain governance frameworks and control processes across all distribution channels; define and monitor key risk and control indicators and ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., FCA Consumer Duty, distribution fair value).
  • Lead the Quality Assurance team, monitor distribution activities, ensure QA findings drive continuous improvement, and produce regular management information for senior stakeholders.
  • Own distribution-related audits: drive timely closure and remediation; coordinate responses for internal, external, and regulatory audits; anticipate regulatory change with Compliance and Risk.
  • Own broker governance: manage broker relationships, ensure adherence to AXA standards and regulatory requirements; monitor broker performance and conduct; support onboarding, due diligence, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Ensure distribution propositions deliver fair value; oversee oversight processes to identify and address gaps; report to ExCo and governance committees.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing governance team and act as the primary liaison for Distribution Governance across Sales, Compliance, Risk, Audit, and Group functions; represent governance at internal committees and external forums.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in sales operations, compliance, or governance within financial services.
  • Deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks impacting insurance distribution (e.g., FCA, IDD).
  • Experience in managing Quality Assurance or control functions.
  • Proven track record of embedding governance frameworks and delivering on audit/regulatory requirements.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
