IP Administration Manager

The role Adamson Jones has an excellent opportunity for a full time, self-motivated IP administration manager, who wishes to further their career in a growing patent and trade mark attorney practice. In this role, you will be overseeing and maintaining our client database software, as well as assisting with day-to-day processing and docketing of incoming correspondence in our case management system. The successful candidate will need to be experienced in all aspects of patent and trade mark administration, preferably holding either the CIPA or CITMA certificate qualification and having at least ten years’ experience as a IP administrator. Experience managing client database systems, designing and implementing workflows and docketing deadlines is also essential.

The person

Responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility for our case management software, including liaising with the software supplier and our internal IT team
  • Develop, implement and optimise workflows in our case management software related to data entry, client onboarding, updates and records management
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain smooth database operations
  • Processing and docketing incoming correspondence in our case management system, ensuring that deadlines and other data are accurately entered, and tasks are appropriately delegated to colleagues
  • Creation of new cases, maintaining client records, and quality control tasks to ensure that the case management system is accurate at all times
  • Liaising with both fee earners and clients, and providing support to other members of the administration team where required
