My client within Investment Banking is looking for a Java developer to join their team. The role will be working on their Equities position keeping system.

Responsibilities

• Develop Java applications in a Linux, multi-threaded environment with large-scale, fault-tolerant systems.
• Follow object-oriented design and development principles; participate in development, testing, support analysis, and release coordination.
• Work with messaging services such as TIBCO RV/EMS, JMS, AMPS, and Apache Kafka.
• Understand and address latency considerations and performance implications.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver robust, scalable software within the Equities domain.

Qualifications

• Core Java
• Object-oriented design and development principles
• Experience with Linux, multi-threaded, large-scale, fault-tolerant systems
• Experience with Azul Zing
• Experience with FIX Trading Protocol
• Experience with messaging services: TIBCO RV/EMS, JMS, AMPS, Apache Kafka
• Knowledge of latency optimization and performance considerations
• Contract: 12 Months Rolling; Rate: £Apply online only p/d via Umbrella
• Location: London – 1/2 days per week in the office
