Our Mid-Level Accelerator programme with a linked job role is designed for those who have 1.5+ years of experience in Software or Data Engineering (Python), Java or JavaScript and are looking to progress into a Mid-Level technical role with a new opportunity at Barclay's. These job roles are linked directly to free education, and upon completion of the course, you will be equipped to start your role as a Mid-Level Java Developer.

What are we looking for?

  • 1.5+ years of experience in a technology-focused role and a mind for data
  • Able to pass a technical assessment in Java
  • Commitment to complete a 16-week, part-time course to develop mid-level skills
  • Available to start a role with Barclays

Mid-Level Java Developer

Barclays is partnering with Code First Girls to give more women the chance to upskill into a mid-level tech role. Join the team in Glasgow in a Java Mid-Level role after successful completion of the Mid-Level Accelerator programme.

The Role

In this role you’ll design, develop and improve software that provides business, platform and technology capabilities. You’ll deliver high-quality, scalable and secure solutions using industry-aligned languages and frameworks, while collaborating with product managers, designers and engineers to meet business objectives. You’ll also contribute to code reviews, apply secure coding practices and stay informed on industry trends and innovations.
