Delta Computer Services is seeking a Customer Support and Training Advisor to join our dynamic team based at our offices in Uckfield, East Sussex. We are looking for someone who is ready to use their people skills, tech know-how and understanding of the leisure industry and Management Information Systems (MIS) to help our clients’ leisure venues run smoothly. This is a great opportunity for a self-starter to join a collaborative team to ensure customer satisfaction and provide training in a flexible hybrid working setup.

Responsibilities

  • Joining our Support Team to support our clients’ use of our software modules via email, phone and web chat
  • Troubleshooting client issues, from first question through to a successful conclusion
  • Documenting and tracking customer issues, ensuring accurate and detailed records are maintained
  • Helping improve our existing courses management module (point of sale, online, app, student and tutor portals)
  • Completing in-depth testing and assisting with the development of new software applications and updates, and helping to shape our software and processes to best assist clients and users
  • Facilitating new software system installations, from helping install and configure the software applications, to on-site Go Live support
  • Ensuring new user guides are created and where required, updating existing user guides
  • Delivering engaging training sessions for our products remotely via Teams, and in-person at our offices and on-site as required
  • Assisting with demonstrations and presentations to prospective customers, as required
  • Completing various administrative tasks and data input as required

Qualifications

  • You should have: Proven IT customer support experience at high levels
  • Demonstrable experience with Teams, Outlook, helpdesk ticketing software (e.g. Zendesk, Freshdesk, etc.) and MS Office
  • Excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact confidently with clients to establish what the problem is and explain the solution
  • A proactive and self-motivated attitude, able to learn on the job and think outside of the box
  • Confidence working both independently and as part of a small team
  • Organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple schedules and coordinate activities effectively
  • The ability to travel to customer sites when required for training

Desirable additional experience

  • Prior experience or understanding of the leisure industry
  • The ability to multitask effectively
  • Knowledge or experience of Management Information Systems
  • Experience with Freshdesk call tracking software
