Overview

The Bids, Contracts and Evaluation (BCE) team are a specialist and independent team within MBDA's Finance department. We are seeking to recruit a Finance Manager to take a lead role in the independent review and analysis of bids and other proposals. You will be facilitating internal approvals and providing support to subsequent contract negotiations. You will be operating in a dynamic and stimulating environment, in a role that provides an unprecedented insight into MBDA's strategic business direction through involvement in the various business case proposals and sales campaigns. Propositions will include both UK Domestic and Export sales opportunities, and cover the whole life cycle of products within MBDA (Assessment Phase, Development, Manufacturing and Customer Service Support).

Responsibilities

• You will quickly become recognised by the organisation as an expert and valued adviser in the process leading up to submission to Approval Committees.
• Maintain robust working relationships with the Sales and Programme Teams at National Company and Group level to ensure the views and requirements of Finance are represented in business analysis.
• Maintain and further develop business critical skills within the team and manage staff development and turnover in a changing business environment.
• Apply costing and/or pricing methodologies for long-term contracts; prior experience is an advantage.
• Interface with and influence Business leads at all levels in MBDA.

Additional information

• Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site depending on workload.
• Security Clearance: British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship; BPSS checks required after offer stage.
