The Opportunity

New Business and Marketing Executive AKA Global Growth Squad Project Manager (Internal Title)

We have an exciting opportunity to join our newly merged Global Growth & Marketing team, split across two key locations: London and New York. London will focus on international markets, while New York will concentrate on US-centric global prospects.

As Global Growth Squad Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring consistent, high-quality outputs and seamless operational delivery across multiple global and multi-market pitches at both network and agency level. Sitting within one of several dedicated pitch squads, you will provide crucial support to the squad director and squad lead across all pitch workstreams. This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious and proactive individual to excel in a pivotal role, contributing to the end-to-end pitch process and to the wider team’s new business and client retention efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Organisation: Organise complex pitch schedules to ensure pitch teams and senior stakeholders deliver high-quality responses to deadlines.
  • Meeting Management: Manage agendas, capture minutes, and ensure timely follow-ups for internal meetings and reviews.
  • Document & Presentation Management: Oversee creation and submission of RFIs/RFPs/other documents and pitch presentations, ensuring accuracy and guidelines adherence.
  • Content & Collateral Coordination: Manage creation of pitch content and collateral, from videos to pitch theatre assets, with in-house design studio and freelance support.
  • Logistics & Event Coordination: Coordinate pitch logistics, rehearsal plans, pitch room bookings, catering, and travel arrangements.
  • Post-Pitch Operations: Handle post-pitch organization, evaluation surveys, and filing/archiving of materials for future reference.
  • Financial Support: Assist with financial management of pitches, including tracking budget costs.
  • Information Management: Maintain the global growth SharePoint hub and ensure the Way to Win documentation is current and accessible.
  • CRM & Pipeline Management: Manage uploading/updating of the global growth pipeline in Salesforce and track engagement of communications.
  • Data Accuracy: Keep agency rankings updated within credentials and market one-pagers.
  • Prospecting Support: Support the wider growth team with prospecting to identify new business opportunities.
  • Ad-Hoc Support: Provide support on ad-hoc local market requests as needed.
  • Thought Leadership Contribution: Support the wider global growth and marketing team in creating insightful thought leadership pieces.

  • Become fully accustomed to our network and agency propositions, understanding their unique value.
  • Shown the confidence and ability to seamlessly project manage each stage of the pitch process.
  • Displayed excellent organisation and meticulous attention to detail across all deliverables.
  • Gained positive feedback from key stakeholders and the wider team, demonstrating collaborative and impactful approach.

In The First Year, You Would Have

  • Built strong, influential relationships across WPP Media and the wider agencies.
  • Become the ‘go-to’ person for any ad-hoc requests, demonstrating confidence in sourcing information to provide rapid and accurate responses.
  • Shown the confidence and ability to seamlessly project manage each stage of the pitch process, juggling multiple projects simultaneously.

Ongoing, You Will

  • Continuously seek and implement new and better ways to optimise the pitch process, both operationally and creatively.
  • Continue to build knowledge of the network and agencies to contribute to compelling pitch narratives.
  • Explore and champion new technologies to improve how pitches are run.
