The Role

You will join as a Structural Engineer with around two years of experience post-grad experience. You\'ll work within project delivery teams and receive support from senior engineers and leadership to accelerate your development in a motivating, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create structural designs and perform calculations for projects using steel, concrete, masonry, and/or timber.
  • Generate technical deliverables—including drawings, reports, and specifications—adhering to relevant UK standards (BS and Eurocodes).
  • Collaborate seamlessly with architects, MEP consultants, and contractors to ensure coordinated engineering solutions.
  • Conduct design reviews and quality control measures on outputs from junior team members.
  • Attend site visits for feasibility studies, inspections, and construction-phase support.
  • Participate in technical and project meetings; assist in conveying engineering solutions to both internal teams and clients.
  • Enhance internal workflows by proposing improvements in tools, processes, or documentation approaches.

Your Profile

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Around 2 years of hands-on experience in structural design, including use of analysis tools (e.g., Tekla, SCIA, SAP2000, IDEA Statica) and CAD/BIM technologies (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
  • Solid understanding of structural design codes for various materials within the UK regulatory framework.
  • Excellent analytical aptitude, meticulous attention to detail, and methodical problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—with confidence in report writing and client/team engagement.
  • A proactive, collaborative professional eager to learn and grow.

Desirable (not compulsory):

  • Experience or awareness of sustainability metrics such as embodied carbon or material efficiency.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary project settings with exposure to clients and contractors.
  • Progress toward, or completion of, professional accreditation (ICE, IStructE Chartership).
