Overview
The Junior Trade Compliance Administrator supports the Trade Compliance team by handling administrative tasks, maintaining compliance documentation, and assisting with regulatory screening processes. Trade Compliance is an exciting part of the RS business, which is an enabler to creating new opportunities and maintaining existing ones for RS, globally, while protecting the business by adhering to legal and regulatory requirements. The Trade Compliance team are the experts in how we screen our external partners, manage export control requirements across the globe, working alongside our external partners, internal customers, and stakeholders. As a member of the Trade Compliance team, you will be a key player in ensuring our customers are supported at every stage of the compliance journey to the point that they receive the products they have ordered. This position is a Hybrid working role; to be based on-site in Corby x3 days per week.
What you will be doing
- Provide administrative and operations support to the Trade Compliance team, ensuring compliance with export control regulations and internal policies. This will include maintaining compliance documentation, assisting with screening, and working with external partners.
- Provide documentation to support external and internal audits and inspections.
- Manage releasing of legal holds for all markets.
- Build appropriate relationships ensuring integrity with local markets.
- Maintain and update compliance files (both paper and electronically), records, and logs ensuring accurate and timely information.
- Assist with export and global sanctions and compliance screenings.
- Assist with trade data analysis and implement data governance practices.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide general administrative support to the Trade Compliance Team including scheduling of export licences and maintaining all other documentation.
- Supports updates and upgrades to the compliance application and system.
- Gain knowledge of the export and re-export control and sanctions regulations globally.
- Support product and export teams identify products that either fall under or could be considered to fall under dual use restrictions.
- Interact professionally with all internal and external customers, vendors and partners.

- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Attention to detail, accuracy and precision are crucial to ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with internal and external stakeholders.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve compliance issues.
- Adaptable with the ability to learn new regulations and procedures.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with other team members.
- IT literate with a demonstrable competency of Microsoft Office.

- An understanding of Trade Compliance and Export Controls.
