OverviewA Manchester-based video games studio is looking for a Junior Unity Developer to join their team. The role focuses on UI and systems development with opportunities to grow into gameplay and physics. You will work closely with other developers to see all aspects of game development, from features to testing and bug fixing. This is a hybrid role with 4-days per week onsite at the Manchester studio.ResponsibilitiesDevelop UI systems using Unity (academic, personal, or professional experience acceptable).Collaborate with the team to implement features, test, and fix bugs.Support the intersection of UI, gameplay, and physics as the project evolves.Engage with players and UX considerations to inform UI decisions.RequirementsExperience building UI systems using Unity (academic, personal, or professional).Strong interest in UI/UX and player interaction.Awareness of gaming trends, user expectations, and player behaviour.Working knowledge of C# and Unity workflows.VR familiarity or Photon/Quantum experience is a plus.A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn.DetailsSalary range: £25k–£30k depending on experience, plus benefits and generous holidays (including a Christmas studio shutdown).Employment type: Full-timeSeniority: Entry levelLocation: Manchester, England, United KingdomHow to ApplyIf you’re interested in finding out more, please apply now.
