As a Key Account Manager (KAM) within the Commercial team, you will report directly into the Sales Manager (Key Accounts) to deliver commercial growth objectives within defined industry vertical. You will own strategic relationships with a select group of key accounts with spend of circa £4m per annum and will be accountable for their revenue and profit performance, as well as delivering incremental and supplementary revenue streams from within your customer base. Working collaboratively with your operational colleagues, you will ensure CitySprint delivers consistent and exceptional account management and service delivery, as well as achieving a growth trajectory in line with business expectations.
Key Responsibilities for the Key Account Manager role :
- Full commercial responsibility for the retention, spend and profit performance of your designated customer portfolio, by promoting a partnership approach and ensuring there is a shared strategy for success.
- Presenting winning strategic proposals to existing customers.
- Managing tender cycles by planning for all bid responses.
- Proactively generating and managing your opportunities pipeline to meet your annual and monthly growth targets.
- Producing and managing detailed strategic development plans for your Key Accounts.
- Complying with behaviour based KPIs to ensure successful expansion and ongoing development of your portfolio.
- Creating detailed financial forecasts of both revenue and margin for the clients within your portfolio.
- Working collaboratively with operations teams across the business to ensure the highest standards of service for your clients and consistent achievement of operational KPIs.
- Contributing to the strategic development of your industry vertical, including identifying market trends, competitor analysis and developing value propositions.
The key skills needed for the role include:
- Ability to effectively negotiate and collaborate with others to reach mutually agreeable outcome.
- Proven successful Account Management and revenue growth of customer portfolio with budgets of multiple £Ms. ·
- Proven ability to successfully negotiate logistic contracts, alongside successful price increase negotiation techniques.,
- Proven proficiency of creating, analysing and disseminating clear and concise financial reports with commercial context.
- Demonstrates entrepreneurial mindset whilst considering business processes, corporate finance management and accounting principles.
- Demonstrates superior cross functional knowledge of complex business environments and uses judgment to effect positive change.
- Demonstrate desire to increase market share and surpass revenue and margin targets.
- Proven success in client implementation programmes and client exit management preserving a positive corporate reputation.
- Adapts positively and proactively supports change.
- Manage and reprioritise tasks/workload where required in line with changing business needs.
- Pro-actively reviews and monitors ways of working to ensure best practice, streamline processes to maximise efficiency and enhance team effectiveness.
- Proven ability to quickly learn new applications, processes, and procedures.
- Proven successful Account Management and revenue growth of customer portfolio with budgets of multiple £Ms. · Proven ability to successfully negotiate logistic contracts, alongside successful price increase negotiation techniques.
- Identify key data sources and analyse data effectively to improve operational and margin performance or to support business decisions.
Thesuccessful candidate will be required to undergo a DBS check as part of the recruitment process. Conditional job offers are subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
