UK Supporter Relations Manager at International Fellowship of Evangelical Students
Salary: £38,443
Location: Oxford, Hybrid (60% office based)
Benefits: Flexible and hybrid working options; 10% employer pension contribution; ongoing training and professional development; Life Insurance; 25 days of annual leave allowance, plus English public holidays.
Are you passionate about students around the world encountering Jesus? Then, join us and invite supporters to partner with us to advance God’s work among students. This role offers an opportunity for you to cultivate authentic, long-term relationships where financial giving grows from a desire for students to know Jesus, trust in IFES, and the joy of participation. We are a movement of students sharing and living out the good news of Jesus Christ. Locally. Nationally. Globally. IFES ministry is supported behind the scenes by International Services based in Asia, the UK, and the USA. IFES supports and connects students living out the gospel as witnesses in the university in more than 180 countries worldwide. At the heart of everything we do is the desire to see students thriving as communities of disciples, transformed by the gospel and impacting the university, the church and society for the glory of Christ. You can watch this short video to find out more about us.
Role overview: We are looking for a driven individual with a heart for student mission and excellent interpersonal skills to join the team. As our new Key Relationship Executive, you’ll have the joy of building deep, meaningful relationships with people who want to see God’s work among students flourish. You don’t need to come with direct mid-level and major donor fundraising experience; if you bring warmth, people skills, and tenacity, we’ll invest in you with all the training and support you need to thrive. In this role, you’ll walk alongside a portfolio of prospects and supporters, (re)envisioning and inviting them – through meaningful relationships – to join in what God is doing through IFES. You’ll match their passions with the mission, share powerful stories of impact, and help them experience the joy of giving as a gospel partnership. If you love connecting with people, are motivated by faith, and want to see lives changed through biblical generosity, this is your opportunity to make an eternal difference.
What we’re looking for: We believe in a biblical, relationship-driven approach that builds genuine, faith-based partnerships rather than transactional asks. To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be tenacious and highly skilled at building and nurturing relationships – connecting with donors in a warm, authentic, and confident way – and inspiring supporters to grow their giving. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential so you can share IFES’s mission compellingly and tailor your approach to each donor’s passions and interests. You’ll also need good research and analytical abilities to understand donor potential and craft effective, personalised engagement and consistent stewardship plans that deepen relationships over time. Being organised and able to manage a busy, varied workload with attention to detail is key, as is being comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with colleagues. Above all, a pastoral heart and a deep commitment to Christian values will guide how you encourage and faithfully steward donors as partners in God’s work.
Other information: If you recognise the importance of evangelical student ministry, are confident in your ability to work in a multi-cultural setting, and are looking for a fulfilling role in a forward-thinking team, we would love to hear from you. You can find out more information about the job in this Position Profile. You can also read our Doctrinal Statement and our Job Applicant Privacy Notice. IFES is committed to providing equal opportunities and recruiting and developing a diverse workforce, so we encourage candidates from diverse backgrounds to apply. We would be grateful if you could complete the Equal Opportunities Form and upload it to your application. Please note this is voluntary and the information will be used for monitoring purposes only. This role is subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which will be a condition of employment. The check will be carried out prior to your start date to ensure compliance with safeguarding and recruitment standards. This role requires travel, both in the UK and occasionally abroad. While not essential, it is desirable for the candidate to have a driving licence and their own vehicle. Expenses are paid at HMRC’s standard rate of 45p per mile.
