Job Description:
NHS Grampian is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Consultant Psychiatrist to lead and deliver high-quality care across both Outpatient and Inpatient Adult Eating Disorder services. This is a newly configured post offering an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to take on a key leadership role in helping develop the services evolution in response to the Scottish Government’s review and new specification guidance for Eating Disorders services in Scotland.
You will work within a well-established multidisciplinary team, providing Psychiatric leadership and clinical input to both the Grampian Eating Disorder Service (GEDS) and the Eden Unit, a regional specialist inpatient facility.
Candidates will have access to a generous relocation package (please contact us for details), a personal office and IT equipment and a dedicated medical secretary to support their role. Travel expenses are available as per board policy.
There will be involvement in the training and development of resident doctors and candidates are actively encouraged to become involved in delivering medical education.
NHS Grampian offers a generous study leave package with funding available to develop interests or further your career during the course of your employment.
With further digitalisation of our services, we are happy to discuss hybrid ways of working both across community/hospital sites and remotely from home where workload allows.
Aberdeen offers a superb quality of life, excellent schools, cultural amenities, and easy access to stunning natural landscapes. With strong transport links and a welcoming community, it’s a fantastic place to live and work
