The Vacancy
Stephenson Halliday, part of RSK Group, is looking for ambitious and driven Landscape Managers at various levels to join our growing team. These are full-time, permanent roles, but Stephenson Halliday would consider those seeking part-time opportunities. We offer exciting career opportunities in various locations, including Stephenson Halliday / RSK Group offices in Hemel Hempstead, London, Tonbridge, Bristol, Bath, Exeter, although we will consider hybrid/remote working for the right candidates.
We are interested in applicants with experience in landscape management, including landscape assessment, management planning, biodiversity net gain, design advice, and site issue resolution.
You will join a highly regarded and award-winning landscape team with a proven track record across projects of all scales, from Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects to local developments.
We draw on expertise from Building with Nature Approved Assessors and Green Flag Award judges to enhance green infrastructure and the built environment.
Key Responsibilities (all levels)
- Conducting and coordinating open space/green infrastructure strategies, site assessments, and audits.
- Advising on management and maintenance considerations for designs and proposals.
- Preparing and implementing landscape and ecological management plans, including Biodiversity Net Gain.
- Managing invasive species and historic landscapes/estates.
- Ensuring compliance with policies, legislation, and standards.
Key Responsibilities (Principal and Above)
- Lead and innovate in landscape management, mentoring staff and fostering expertise.
- Collaborate with planning, design, and EIA teams to expand project portfolios and client relationships.
- Provide technical leadership, promote excellence, and ensure high-quality outputs.
Person Specification
- Experience in landscape consultancy, onsite implementation, or landscape clerk of works across various project types.
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Driving license required.
- Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI) preferred.
- Postgraduate or Master’s in landscape-related field preferred.
- Willingness to work away from home as needed.
Salary and Benefits
- £27,000 – £55,000 DOE
