Overview Lead a cloud engineering team at DVLA to design, build and operate secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure, supporting a high‑traffic platform used by millions of customers. Responsibilities
Technically lead one or more Agile delivery squads, owning the full lifecycle of products from design to deployment. Design, build and operate cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or Azure, ensuring operations are robust, secure and scalable. Mentor and develop the Cloud Engineering capability within the team. Translate architectural designs into operational solutions in partnership with technical architects. Promote knowledge sharing and adopt good practice across teams.
Qualifications
Experience leading cloud engineering teams to deliver platform services. Hands‑on experience with AWS (EKS, Lambda, CloudFormation, Terraform) and Azure (Arm, Function Apps, Terraform). Deep understanding of cloud‑first architecture, infrastructure as code and modern DevOps practices. Strong technical leadership, coaching and mentoring skills. Excellent communication and ability to work effectively across multiple Agile teams.
