Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at DWP Digital The role is at the DWP Digital team, a part of the UK's largest government department. We design and maintain digital solutions that are used by millions of people daily. Responsibilities As a Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will design, build, and run the cloud platforms that support critical public services. You will work with container platforms, infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native services. You will also embed security into everything you build, manage live services, investigate issues, and mentor junior engineers. Qualifications
Strong experience leading teams and departments in the design, implementation, administration, and support of container‐related infrastructure solutions and services. Significant demonstrable expertise in container build and runtime environments, Kubernetes administration and associated technologies (e.g. Flux, Argo CD, Helm). Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab or equivalent. Strong track record of writing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code. Expert detailed working knowledge of developing and supporting cloud‐based applications (Cloud Infrastructure Engineering).
