Join us as a Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, develop, and support Azure‑based cloud infrastructure services for the UK government department, DWP.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers, guiding through complex challenges and ensuring reliable, secure cloud services.
  • Shape architecture, roadmaps, and technical direction to drive innovation.
  • Act as escalation point for incidents and keep critical services running smoothly.
  • Represent the department with external partners and influence big decisions.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Extensive proven experience providing technical leadership within a team of Infrastructure Engineers.
  • Demonstrable comprehension of Azure.
  • Expert proficiency working with networking including DNS, NSGs, VNETS, etc.
  • Extensive experience scripting systems (Terraform).
  • Detailed working knowledge of version control systems (Git, Gitlab CI, etc.).
  • In depth expertise and proven experience working in an agile environment building, deploying, supporting and operating cloud applications (Azure).
