Overview

Here\'s what you\'ll be doing. As a Staff Data Scientist you will be part of a team that is bringing AI and Data Science into the forefront of SB. We are looking to unify our technical vision and are seeking an experienced, technical but pragmatic Staff Data Scientist to enable our wider team to deliver value quickly. The role will report to Josh Dawson, Head of Analytics and Data Science, and sit alongside our talented Data Science team.

Responsibilities

• work closely with cross-functional development teams to build, test and maximise the value of a suite of models covering use cases from LLMs to propensity, classification and regression models
• contribute to end-to-end development and deployment of ML and AI models
• define best practice for a team of highly talented and experienced Data Scientists
• work with stakeholders in a high-pace, agile environment which encourages autonomy and growth
• autonomy to create best practices for the technical side of Data Science at SB and, in partnership with multiple stakeholders, drive value into SB

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Data Scientist/ML Engineer, working on classic ML and Data Science problems as well as Generative AI
• views Data Science as a product, not just a series of models
• adept and passionate about all forms of technology, particularly deployment and software engineering principles
• experienced in deploying real-time models
• willing to help build the future of ML/AI at SB, both hands-on and by training the wider organisation to maximise real-time modelling
