National Grid is hiring a Lead Data Scientiston a permanent basis. The location for this role can be based in Warwick - We offer a hybrid working model.

Job Purpose

National Grid is seeking a Lead Data Scientist who is passionate about leveraging advanced analytics to connect people to energy and enhance the sustainability of the energy system. In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse team of data scientists and machine learning engineers to tackle challenges across transmission, distribution, and interconnectors. You will convert data into actionable insights, addressing complex problems that significantly impact the lives of millions.

As a member of the National Grid Data Science team, you will work cross-functionally, mining both large and small datasets and applying a range of analytical techniques—from basic to advanced—to solve business challenges. Example projects the team has undertaken include root cause classification of transmission asset defects and data-driven asset management for interconnector assets. A competitive salary between £65,000 – £80,000 – dependent on capability

As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus of up to 30% of your salary for stretch performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
