The role of Lead Electronics Engineer will be part of our Operations team and will look to deliver key strategic initiatives across our Advanced Wound Devices portfolio; driving product sustainment, manufacturing resilience and continued value within our Contract Manufacturing Operations (CMO).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for electronic systems, components, and devices within the AWD franchise, applying specialized expertise in the electronics field to ensure the resilience and reliability of products and manufacturing capabilities — driving both product sustainment and value.
  • Lead and manage complex electronics-related projects, providing technical oversight and responsibility on high-profile transfers, while delivering changes to enhance product and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define project objectives, deliverables, and timelines, providing technical leadership to integrate operational considerations into product development and manufacturing processes.
  • Lead root cause analyses for electronics-related incidents or failures, driving corrective actions and preventative measures; deliver risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for electronic systems and components, identifying potential points of failure and developing proactive plans (supporting cybersecurity and software needs).
  • Serve as primary point of contact for electronics within our contract manufacturing organization, guiding and supporting the team, maintaining technical documentation, and staying up to date with regulatory requirements, industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Requires a combination of qualifications in electronics engineering or a related field, with specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in sustain & resilience engineering for electronics.
  • Typically requires an advanced degree in electronics engineering or a related field, or the equivalent work experience providing specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in electronics engineering.
  • Substantial experience within the manufacturing sector/operations remit (managing technical projects with external contract manufacturers is preferable).
  • Ability to solve unique and complex problems, applying conceptual and innovative thinking to develop solutions with a track record of leading and implementing projects with success.
