OverviewLead Flow Assurance Engineer role at Wood within the Production Optimisation team of the Digital Consulting business unit. This position offers hybrid work flexibility and is open to applicants from across the UK, ideally those who can easily commute to our Aberdeen or Staines office.ResponsibilitiesProject management of small, medium or large project teams of flow assurance and process specialistsProvide technical leadership to clients / project teamsAssist the Regional Manager in developing project proposals, bids and tender documents and assist with business development as requiredEnsure all work is undertaken in accordance with the company quality management systemEnsure that project objectives assigned by the Project Manager and Client are achievedProvide guidance and mentoring for more junior staffDeliver effective, concise presentations internally and to clientsAct as a client representative at technical meetings with third partiesWhat makes you remarkable? qualificationsAt Wood, we are committed to equal opportunities and welcome all talented individuals to consider joining our team. An advanced degree focusing in multiphase flow / fluid dynamics / heat transfer / applied mathematics is desirable but not requiredConsiderable previous flow assurance and process experience in the Oil and Gas industry with an excellent technical backgroundA proven track record in management of process and flow assurance studiesProven experience in coaching the junior flow assurance and process engineersGood experience with major flow assurance software packages e.g. OLGA, Pipesim, Multi-Flash, Leda Flow etcGood appreciation of process engineering, and simulation using Hysys and/or UnisimGood knowledge of HAZOP, process safety and risk assessmentDesirableLocal market knowledge would be seen as an advantageAbout UsWood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
