Lead Infrastructure Engineer page is loaded## Lead Infrastructure Engineerlocations: Manchester: London 125 London Walltime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todaytime left to apply: End Date: October 3, 2025 (14 days left to apply)job requisition id: 140027**End Date**Thursday 02 October 2025**Salary Range**£70,929 - £78,810**Flexible Working Options**Hybrid Working, Job Share**Job Description Summary**.**Job Description****JOB TITLE:** Lead Infrastructure Engineer**SALARY:** £70 929 – £78 810**LOCATION:** Manchester**HOURS:** Full-time - 35 hours per week**WORKING PATTERN:** Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at leasttwo days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.**ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY:** The Engineering Platform team is on a mission to create the next generation technical platform for Lloyds Banking Group, a single platform consumed by every engineer and platform across the entire group, you'll be at the heart of one of the UK's biggest financial service technical transformations maximising the use of shared tools and technology across our entire organisation.This is an extraordinary opportunity to shape how we evolve across the group!Due to the nature of this work, we are looking for tenacious, motivated, and innovative hands-on Senior Infrastructure/Devops Engineers with a real passion for technology and a commitment to delivering high-quality, scalable solutions, a positive role model with an unstoppable desire to deliver the best possible solution for all.**WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:*** Contribute to the design and implementation of the HCP Terraform including deployment of hosted components on Kubernetes and other host platforms.* Configuration design & change to continue extending the HCP Terraform service to fit both the pace of change in public cloud deployments and extend into management of hybrid cloud and other management systems.* Securing the use of HCP Terraform with hands of development of Policy controls and custom control scripts.* Development of Harness Pipeline to automate CI/CD deployment* Automation of processes developing reusable components, writing automated test scripts, performing code reviews, and creating technical documentation – leading by example.* Own, lead and drive features and stories via Jira and Jira Align framework.* Assess and exploit new features to deliver business value to our engineering customer base.* Promote and advocate for HCP Terraform and Devops services across the LBG Engineering community. Consult on best practice usage of Terraform and IaC* Specialist support for the run and service aspects of the HCP Terraform Service* Be proficient in leading technical conversations with partners of varying levels of technical background, including Senior Management and other Subject Matter Experts.* Collaborate across internal, external, and third-party teams, working closely with the other members of the team.* Provide leadership, education and mentoring to support junior colleagues and different teams on those topics, and drive upskilling.**WHAT YOU’LL NEED:*** Experience in infrastructure engineering, with a strong focus on Infrastructure as Code principles* Extensive experience building solutions following Infrastructure as Code standard methodologies employing Terraform and other IaC languages.* Firsthand experience building solutions for the public cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) including compute, storage, security, and networking.* Experience with containerisation & Kubernetes, including deployment using Helm and cloud Kubernetes service (AKS, GKE)* Experience at management of enterprise class Automation toolsets desirable* Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Harness, Azure DevOps, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).* Proficient understanding of CI/CD principles, including version control, automated testing, deployment strategies, and infrastructure as code.* Strong experience of Devops automation principles, processes and toolsets Including repositories, scanning, testing tools. Certificate and secrets management* Extensive experience of at least one high-level programming language, preferably Python or Go.* Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with stakeholders across the organisation.* Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with a passion for sharing knowledge and guiding team members.Someone with a passion for technology and how it can be adopted and used for our colleagues and customers!
