Lead Marketing Manager – PC/Console studio – Hybrid Working
A North-East based Games studio are currently looking for a Lead Marketing Manager to join their growing team. Founded by established industry experts, the team are made up of award-winning developers, who have come from AAA backgrounds and have a history of releasing a range of high-quality games, some of which have been adored in the games industry.
As a member of the Marketing team, you will be helping them plan their future releases. Other responsibilities include talking to internal PR, Social Media and Product Teams to help get ‘the word out’ on these exciting releases. The position comes with a lot of influence in the studio as you’ll be directly interfacing with all sides of the games industry, from community, development, press and media, also having a huge say on the Marketing Strategy of the business.
You will be tasked with creating, analysing and monitoring campaigns across the studio’s portfolio and help drive engagement and visibility across the full product lifecycle. The ideal candidate will understand the games industry culture and trends, you’ll ideally be a player of video games yourself and be able to transfer this passion into the role. You will be generating press releases, proofreading content, key art and executing all communications between the studio and their players, all whilst managing a small team of 2 Community Managers and a Video/Trailer Artist.
Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate future releases, collaborate with internal PR, Social Media and Product Teams to promote releases, and influence Marketing Strategy across the studio. Create, analyse and monitor campaigns across the portfolio to drive engagement and visibility throughout the product lifecycle. Generate press releases, proofread content, develop key art, and manage communications between the studio and players. Lead and support a small team of 2 Community Managers and a Video/Trailer Artist.

Requirements
- Strong Experience in the games industry, especially on PC and Console
- Past managerial or mentoring experience
- An excellent track record of successful Marketing Campaigns
- Ability to interface with clients, consumers and media
- Experience with reviewing Marketing assets before they go live
- Highly approachable and a good ability to network
This is a hybrid role with ideally 3 days onsite (and 2 days remote). However, we can consider candidates who can make 1 day onsite per week. You must be eligible to live and work in the UK as we cannot sponsor Visas at this time nor offer fully remote working options.
