South Shore of Boston, MA (primarily remote as long as in the area)

The company is fully remote but may get an office in the future in the South Shore of Boston, at which point it would be nice (not strictly required) to come into the office 2-3x/week).

The company is in the elder care space and is helping to improve the quality of care as well as lower the cost.

The company has raised series A funding, and has a massive pipeline of upcoming revenues. It has about 30 employees and is expected to grow to about 100 employees in the next year. So this position is for someone who is interested and able to thrive in a rapidly growing, fast paced startup.

The company will pay competitive salary plus equity which could be lucrative.

Job Responsibilities:

- Writing automated tests for all aspects of the technology stack including Go, Angular and Flutter applications across web, mobile, and backend systems.

- Initially it will be 100% manual testing, and you will grow it to 80% automation within about 1 year or so.

- It will be about 50% web and 50% mobile.

- Being a key part of the continuous integration strategy.

- Promoting industry best practices within the development team, such as comprehensive test coverage, effective build and deployment practices, and continuous improvement.

- Designing and implement automated test suites using modern testing frameworks.

- Performing exploratory testing as part of the weekly release cycle.

- Writing comprehensive test plans and maintaining test documentation.

- Collaborating with developers to integrate tests into the CI/CD pipeline.

- Maintaining test coverage above 80% across all applications.

- Ensuring HIPAA compliance in all testing processes and data handling.

- Participating in sprint planning and retrospectives.

- Monitoring and reporting on quality metrics and testing progress.

Qualifications:

- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

- At least 3 years of professional experience with automated testing frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Jest, or similar).

- Proficiency with Linux and Mac development environments.

- Proficiency in writing test code in at least one programming language.

- Understanding of manual and automated testing best practices.

- Experience with Git version control and collaborative development workflows.

- Understanding of HIPAA compliance requirements and healthcare data security.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to work independently while actively collaborating with team members.

- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have:

- Experience with RESTful API testing and documentation

- Familiarity with Docker and containerization technology.

- Experience with Linux server administration and deployment processes.

- Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

- Performance testing experience with tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.

- Previous experience in healthcare, regulated software, or FDA validation processes.

- Background in agile development methodologies
