Base Location: Flexible | We're proud to offer a Flexible First approach to work, and this role is no exception. We will, however, need your base 'home' location to be one of our SSEN offices or depots around Scotland.

Salary: £78,400 - £117,600 + car /car allowance + performance-related bonus + benefits supporting your finances, wellbeing, and family.

The role

Network Engineering is a core function within the Asset Management & Operations Directorate at SSEN-Transmission. It is responsible for ensuring suitable engineering specifications and guidance for all Transmission projects and assets, ensuring safe, reliable operation in compliance with legislation. Our purpose is to keep engineering safe, sound, and supported.

We seek a passionate technical leader with extensive experience in designing, constructing, and operating Flexible AC Transmission System solutions (including STATCOM, SVC, SSSC, UPFC). You will establish and lead across multiple functions in developing specifications for FACTS devices and overseeing related projects.
