Job Description
Lead Supply Chain Analyst
London (2x/week in-office) | ~£90,000 + benefits
I’m working with a tech-enabled re-commerce scaleup on a mission to transform how secondhand goods move through global marketplaces — and they’re hiring a Lead Analyst to bring rigour and insight to their supply chain, operations, and inventory strategy.
This is a company that started in a garage and has grown into a global logistics powerhouse — with recent private equity investment, multiple international locations, and a highly active e-commerce and marketplace presence. They’re now turning their attention to direct-to-consumer growth, and supply chain optimisation is at the heart of that evolution.
The Opportunity
This is not your typical analytics role. You’ll be digging into everything from warehouse efficiency and stock flow to shipping costs, submission patterns, and supplier behaviour. You’ll help answer critical questions like:
- What stock should we hold or submit?
- How are different fulfilment methods impacting cost and efficiency?
- Which supply partners are driving the best performance?
You’ll design and run experiments, lead on data modelling, and play a key role in scaling operations as the business continues to expand globally.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading analytics across supply, operations, inventory, and fulfilment
- Driving insight into stock levels, warehousing capacity, and shipping economics
- Designing A/B tests to improve how stock is processed and stored
- Supporting change and transformation projects with data
- Mentoring a more junior analyst and working closely with cross-functional teams
- Working hands-on with SQL, Python, and Tableau (or similar BI stack)
- Feeding into the broader data roadmap, with optional paths into demand-side or customer analytics over time
What They’re Looking For
- Experience working in supply chain, inventory, logistics, or operational analytics
- Confident designing and analysing experiments
- Proficient in SQL, Python, and a data visualisation tool
- Comfortable managing ambiguity and making decisions without a full dataset
- Collaborative and confident working with senior non-technical stakeholders
- Still hands-on and comfortable rolling up your sleeves — this isn’t a strategy-only role
- Entrepreneurial mindset — this is a trading business with a lot of moving parts
Why Apply?
If you’ve ever wanted to build and shape a supply chain analytics function inside a business with real purpose, high growth, and global reach — this is a brilliant opportunity.
You’ll get autonomy, visibility, and ownership in a company where data is seen as a key growth lever — not an afterthought.
