What you’ll do

Day to day, you will define and drive the test strategy for Oracle Fusion and new business processes, ensuring end‑to‑end coverage across HR, Finance, Payroll, and Recruitment.

You will produce test plans, scripts, schedules, and reports, manage control gates, defect management, risk mitigation, stakeholder engagement, and run key activities such as payroll parallel runs.

Beyond delivery, you will grow the Test Engineering capability, support career development, manage supplier relationships, and build a skilled community of testers.

Key responsibilities

  • Define and drive test strategy for Oracle Fusion and related business processes.
  • Produce test plans, scripts, schedules, and reports; manage control gates across all phases.
  • Lead defect management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Run key activities such as payroll parallel runs.
  • Build and develop the Test Engineering capability: mentor, coach, and manage supplier relationships.

What you need

  • Strong experience leading test teams on modern SaaS platforms, especially Oracle Fusion.
  • Expertise in Agile and Lean practices; recognized advocate for continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication, able to set priorities and build stakeholder relationships.
  • Expert guidance on non‑functional testing, test strategies, defect management, and reporting.
  • Mentoring and peer‑review capabilities; understand individual skill sets and maximize team strengths.

Location & Working

Location: one of our digital hubs in Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle or Sheffield.

Hybrid working: a mix of home and hub collaboration.

Pay & Benefits

Pay: up to £87,740.

Pension: 28.97% employer contributions, worth over £21,000 per year.

Holidays: 26 days increasing to 31 days over time; up to 3 extra days off a month on flex‑time.
