Lead UX/UI Designer – Investment Banking - Hybrid (Glasgow)
We’re looking for an experienced UX/UI Designer to lead the design of user-centric tools and platforms in a fast-moving, data-driven environment. This role requires a balance of systems thinking, interaction design, and visual craft, with a focus on creating efficient, accessible experiences for users navigating complex information.
You’ll work across the full design lifecycle, from research and ideation through to high-fidelity design and delivery. Expect to collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and subject matter experts to ensure that every solution is informed, intentional, and fit for real-world use.
Key Responsibilities
- Shape end-to-end user journeys that support complex workflows and data interactions
- Translate research findings and business goals into clear design outcomes
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and detailed UI designs for web-based applications
- Ensure consistency, accessibility, and usability across interfaces
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align on priorities and implementation
What We\'re Looking For
- Strong experience designing digital products in complex or regulated environments
- Ability to work from ambiguity to clarity, turning technical requirements into human-centered interfaces
- A portfolio that shows depth in both interaction design and UI craft
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and designing at scale with design systems
- Comfortable contributing to user research and testing
Nice to Have
- Experience in financial services, enterprise tools, or other high-trust domains
- Understanding of agile product development and iterative design
- Basic familiarity with how design translates into front-end development
