Role Overview:
We have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced and driven Lead or Senior Structural Engineer to play a key role in our ongoing success. PDi is a leading engineering and project delivery organisation in the energy sector, we're growing the scale and complexity of both our topsides and subsea projects.
The successful candidate will be part of an energetic, expanding team, and will be expected to work effectively and collaboratively with colleagues in a supportive and progressive environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Technical responsibility for structural aspects of ongoing projects, study work and tenders
- Day-to-day management (technical, personnel and financial) of the Structural Engineering discipline
- Develop ideas from the concept stage through design, drawing, fabrication, testing and eventual delivery to the worksite
- Provide Structural Engineering support to other PDi business units
- Develop core competency and experience of Structural department
- Perform technical audits and design reviews
- Responsible for Structural Engineering discipline input
- Check/Approve engineering documents and data
- Ensuring that all team members are familiar and in full compliance with all company policies and procedures
Qualifications & Key Skills:
- Relevant University Degree and Chartership
- Relevant working experience in a Structural Engineering position
- Acquainted in Legislation and Standards as relevant for the area of responsibility
- General knowledge of project management and project administration
