We are an exciting, dynamic, fast-growing accountancy and business advisory firm seeking a Learning and Development Lead to establish and lead the capability and performance strategy. This role designs, executes, and evaluates programs that enhance business capability and performance, including leadership and management development, job architectures, competency frameworks, skills mapping and performance frameworks. It also provides oversight for CPD, apprenticeship programmes, and early career development initiatives, as well as technical training.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a forward-thinking people development strategy that builds capability, drives performance, and nurtures talent across all levels.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify workforce development needs and align learning initiatives with business priorities.
  • Design and implement leadership development initiatives to build future leaders.
  • Design and implement management development to build management capability across the business.
  • Develop and implement effective performance management processes that encourage accountability and growth.
  • Support design and implementation of Job Architecture Career Frameworks.
  • Conduct skills audits and skills mapping.
  • Provide oversight for the development and evolution of CPD, apprenticeship programmes, and early career development initiatives.
  • Source and manage third-party training providers.
  • Manage the people development budget and oversee relationships with external training providers and consultants.
  • Ensure training support materials and mentoring opportunities are available for apprentices/trainees.
  • Manage a direct report.

  • Proven commercial and analytical ability.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7 years’ experience in HR, Learning and Development.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing learning initiatives, leadership and management programs, capability frameworks, and performance management frameworks; experience with early careers development.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Particulars

  • Hybrid role, full time 38.75 hours per week, approximately three days on-site and two days remote. Office-based meetings will be required as needed.
