Learning Consultant

Permanent: Salary circa £50,000 per annum. Remote: London-based preferred

Company: Instinct Resourcing is a fast-growing learning consultancy that specialises in human-centred, creative approaches to workplace learning. They focus on performance consulting, modern learning experiences, and design thinking to deliver innovative solutions that change how people learn, work, and grow. This role offers a key position in a large-scale project, partnering with a diverse team to design and deliver high-impact learning and development solutions.

Role

This is not a traditional L&D role; it applies modern learning principles to create scalable, user-centred learning that embeds growth directly into the flow of work. As the Learning Consultant, you’ll work directly with clients to design and deliver end-to-end learning solutions that make a measurable impact. You’ll bring both creativity and commercial acumen, combining experience design with hands-on delivery, and the ability to spot opportunities and sell solutions in fast-paced corporate environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging, human-centred learning experiences using UX, design thinking, and creative approaches (e.g., gamification).
  • Diagnose business and performance challenges and propose solutions that deliver measurable impact (performance consulting).
  • Manage end-to-end L&D delivery across the full learning lifecycle—from needs analysis and solution design to delivery and evaluation.
  • Engage with stakeholders, build trusted relationships, influence decisions, and manage expectations with senior stakeholders.
  • Apply commercial awareness, understand billable time, and identify opportunities to add value for clients.
  • Demonstrate creativity and innovation, bringing fresh ideas to learning design and delivery.
  • Adapt quickly to fast-paced, client-facing environments and balance multiple priorities.

Qualifications / Skillset

  • Learning Experience Design: Proven ability to design and deliver engaging, human-centred learning experiences with UX, design thinking, and creative approaches (gamification).
  • Performance Consulting: Skilled at diagnosing business and performance challenges and proposing solutions with measurable impact.
  • End-to-End L&D Delivery: Experience across the full learning lifecycle—from needs analysis to evaluation.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong consulting and facilitation skills; able to build trusted relationships and influence decisions with senior stakeholders.
  • Commercial Awareness: Understanding of billable time and consultative selling; experience spotting opportunities and adding value for clients.
  • Creativity and Innovation: Curious, imaginative mindset with fresh ideas for learning design and delivery.
  • Agility: Comfortable in fast-paced, client-facing environments; able to adapt quickly to new contexts and priorities.

Rewards

This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your learning expertise. You’ll be a key player in a high-impact project, delivering modern learning solutions that directly influence operational excellence and continuous improvement.
