Role Overview

As a Legal Counsel (Employment) at QinetiQ Farnborough, you will provide strategic legal advice across all aspects of employment law, industrial relations, litigation, mediation, regulatory compliance and broader employment‑related legal matters for the QinetiQ Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising on and supporting complex tribunal litigation, disciplinary actions and grievance procedures.
  • Extending UK employment law knowledge across multiple jurisdictions in partnership with international legal teams.
  • Supporting mergers, acquisitions, and sales departments on employment matters.
  • Identifying, developing and implementing new policy, process improvements, training needs, and advising on emerging employment legislation.
  • Maintaining effective relationships with internal stakeholders and promoting the value of the group’s Legal, IP and Company Secretarial teams.

Essential Experience

  • Grounded knowledge of all aspects of employment law, with sound legal judgment and understanding of the employment regulatory environment.
  • Experience working in a law firm or in-house legal team.

Essential Qualifications

  • Qualified employment lawyer with 2‑3 years post‑qualification within employment law.

Hours: 37 per week; Hybrid working patterns available.
