Job Description
The In‑House Legal Counsel will be:
- Leading, negotiating and drafting purchase, sale, distribution and service contracts across the Middle East.
- Advising on and executing market entry into new jurisdictions: researching regulatory regimes, establishing legal entities, ensuring corporate maintenance.
- Overseeing public procurement matters and ensuring compliance with local bid regulations across MEA.
- Managing distribution/service agreements, supply‑chain legal risks and third‑party relationships.
- Coordinating with local counsel in relevant countries to support in commercial, dispute resolution, and regulatory investigations.
- Providing strategic legal input to senior regional leadership on risk, compliance and growth initiatives.
- Maintaining corporate governance, entity management and legal filings for jurisdictions across MEA.
- Supporting internal stakeholders (sales, operations, commercial) with legal advice to drive business outcomes while mitigating risk.
The Successful Applicant
The In‑House Legal Counsel should be:
- A solicitor or equivalent with 5+ years' PQE (post‑qualification experience) in corporate/commercial law.
- Arabic fluent (speaking and writing) and comfortable operating across the Middle East.
- Familiarity with MEA region regulatory environments, or at least exposure to working with local counsel in those jurisdictions.
- Strong contract drafting, negotiation and commercial legal skills (distribution, service, procurement).
- Experience of establishing entities, managing international corporate maintenance and local regulatory entry.
- Comfortable with dispute resolution strategy and coordinating with external counsel.
