How will you add value to the OpenPayd journey?

  • Acting as an advisor for regulatory matters impacting the OpenPayd business
  • Advising on ongoing compliance with applicable, laws, regulations and guidance, including PSD2, EMD, MICA, outsourcing guidelines
  • Horizon scanning to monitor changes to laws and regulations that may impact the OpenPayd business
  • Engaging with industry bodies as required
  • Preparing regulatory notifications and filings
  • Delivering legal education for the business through bespoke training and raising awareness
  • Supporting the wider legal team to provide efficient and effective legal support to the business
  • Ad hoc legal and regulatory tasks.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • UK qualified solicitor with 2-6 years post-qualification experience (gained either within private practice or in-house)
  • Technical knowledge of UK and EEA payment services and e-money regulations
  • Regulatory advice supporting company growth and delivery of strategic projects
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to safeguarding, outsourcing, operational resilience, wind-down planning
  • Advice on the regulatory perimeter
  • Ability to explain complicated legal concepts in a way that is understandable to business stakeholders in both written and oral communications.
  • Confident to manage own workload, coordinate with other members of the legal team, act independently, and seek out information required to deliver successful outcomes
  • Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Strong multitasking, prioritisation, and organisational skills
  • Comfortable with a hybrid working environment
  • Keen attention to detail
