Legal Counsel

Air IT is seeking a qualified and commercially minded Legal Counsel to take ownership of all legal and contractual matters across the Air IT Group. This is a pivotal role in protecting the business from legal risk while enabling commercial success through pragmatic, business-aligned legal advice.
About the Role
As Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for managing and advising on a wide range of legal and contractual matters, supporting teams across the business—particularly Sales, Credit Control, and Procurement. You will play a key role in harmonising contracts, managing risk, and ensuring compliance with current legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead legal negotiations for new customer contracts and manage changes to existing agreements.
- Provide legal advice to the Sales team on customer queries and commercial terms.
- Draft, review, and update standard terms and conditions to ensure legal compliance and business alignment.
- Identify legal risks in customer contracts and propose commercially pragmatic solutions.
- Harmonise customer contracts across the group and novate lower-value clients onto standard terms.
- Advise the Credit Control team on debt recovery matters.
- Deliver contract training and guidance to internal stakeholders.
- Manage the Employee Benefit Trust (EBT).
- Liaise with external legal counsel when required.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified lawyer with experience in commercial contract law.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in the IT or Managed Services sector.
- Familiarity with using AI tools for document drafting.
