What to expect
As a Legal PA within our Practice Group Support team, your role is pivotal. You’ll provide confidential, professional and proactive support to a designated group of stakeholders. Confidence, effective communication and influential skills are essential. We value an assertive and forward-thinking approach.
Responsibilities
- Support a designated group of stakeholders with confidential, professional and proactive PA duties.
- Lead by example, fostering ongoing personal and professional development among junior colleagues and peers.
- Participate in professional development through development plans, mentoring, coaching, technical training and soft skills courses.
- Contribute to a culture of feedback and continuous improvement within the team.
- Engage in Pro Bono, Community and Diversity & Inclusion initiatives where possible.
- Collaborate with lawyers to anticipate challenges, adapt to changing technologies, and exceed business expectations.
Role and key responsibilities
- Conduct regular one-to-one meetings with stakeholders to discuss actions, priorities and future planning.
- Attend team meetings, draft clear replies, and act as a liaison for internal and external clients.
- Manage calendars, organise meetings and handle confidential information; support hybrid working to meet stakeholder needs.
- Provide efficient mailbox, diary and travel management; arrange meetings and coordinate with relevant teams.
- Oversee end-to-end workflow management and delegation across dedicated support teams (e.g., billing, finance, document production).
- Document management, matter opening, electronic filing and collaboration with stakeholders and other support teams.
- Provide financial administration support, ensuring policy compliance and coordination with billing/finance teams.
- Pitch and presentation support in collaboration with the Document Production Team.
- Coordinate events and marketing/business development activities as required.
- Champion process improvements and leverage technology to drive productivity.
Skills and experience
- Experience in a similar environment within a busy professional setting.
- Proactive problem solving, initiative and commitment to excellence in all tasks.
- Excellent communication skills when liaising with stakeholders and clients.
- Ability to delegate tasks across teams while owning transactional activities.
- Strong relationship-building with internal and external parties.
- Effective task management with awareness of risk and deadlines.
- Adaptability and flexibility to changing work environments.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Teams and Copilot.
