We’re working with a leading high-frequency trading firm that’s growing its Linux Engineering team in London. This group delivers the high-performance, low-latency infrastructure that powers trading globally.

The Role

• Act as the bridge between engineering and trading teams.
• Deploy, configure, and automate Linux systems with Ansible.
• Monitor environments with Prometheus, troubleshoot, and optimise performance.
• Manage application packaging, software repositories, and automation of workflows.
• Evaluate and implement new hardware and software solutions.

Requirements:

• Strong Linux engineering/support experience in high-availability environments (RedHat/Debian or similar).
• Hands-on with config management/automation tools (ideally Ansible).
• Scripting ability in Bash, Python, or similar.
• Confident using command-line tools for deep troubleshooting; tuning experience a bonus.
• Excellent communicator, comfortable working closely with traders.
